Elders serve as the governing pillars of the church. Part of their job
consists of monthly meetings with the pastors to review all areas that encompass
the church body. Vital decisions are agreed upon for church direction.
They assist in meeting the spiritual needs of the Care Group Leaders. They
serve as overseers of the church and also in the area of prayer as in James 5:14

As a local church we have
developed care group ministries to enable us to grow spiritually and to learn
how to communicate honestly with each other.
These
diversified small group ministries are designed to facilitate nurturing and
growth; and to disciple through monthly meetings, Bible study, and prayer.
Acts 2:42-46 shows us that a believer most easily reaches his or her full
potential for growth in Jesus Christ as he or she becomes involved in both
“temple” (larger meetings of the church), and “house”
meetings (support groups). We believe that the New
Testament reveals that church-life is essential to the spiritual, emotional, and
mental well-being of a believer’s life; that means more than being present for a
one-hour church service every Sunday. Quite often, it’s not realized just how
beneficial church life is. For example, church life offers the following:
God established the local church
to develop His character, His ministry, and His purpose in us. To do this,
God plants us in a context with other believers to help balance our defenses, to
help us overcome hindrances to our well-being, and to provide the necessary
support we need for growth.

Deacons are servants in the house of the Lord. Their service consists
mainly in the area of working with the tangible needs of the people in God's
house. Deacons also work within a ministry such as music ministry, altar
workers ministry, outreach ministry, prison ministry, children's church
ministry, etc. Deacons also work in areas such as logistics, audio,
ushering, communion, organizing church events, etc.
